Halloween In The City

Halloween in the city is the perfect gateway into a spooky season. With crisp air and enough haunted places to make you shudder, nothing could be better.

Boo at the Zoo

Every year the Bronx Zoo holds its Boo at the Zoo that includes a haunted hayride, costume parade, crafts, and even appearances from the off broadway hit, The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Don your costume, bring a pillowcase to hold all the candy and head on over!

Asphalt Screams

The free community Halloween extravaganza, Asphalt Screams is the perfectly spooktacular family friendly event that includes, games, activities, and a whole lot of fun!

Mark your calendar for October 27th and get ready for a BOOtiful time!

Haunted Lantern Tours

A walking tour of everything spooky in the historic Water Battery area, the Haunted Lantern Tours will get your goosebumps raised, and your inner ghoul ready for the Halloween season.

While free, a reservation is required. Don’t delay, spots can fill up quickly.

BamBoo!

Spooky music, carnival games, and a slathering of arts and crafts welcome you to the annual BamBoo! event, hosted by the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Get there early to make the most of this spooky season, and to take part in the annual epic candy giveaway!

Day of the Dead

The ancient celebration of the Day of the Dead comes to life at St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery as ‘Mano a Mano’ hosts a traditional celebration with Mexican Crafts and Food for everyone.

This event is free to the public, and is hosted outdoors rain or shine! So bundle up and honor a beautiful cultural event by welcoming the souls of the dead back for a time.

The New York Botanical Gardens

The art and vision of Dale Chihuly comes to life in this nightly display of lights, color, and magic! Watch as the New York Botanical Gardens are transformed into a million dancing lights, all with the added nightly entertainment and cocktails to make this the perfect interlude to the holiday season.

Tour de Bronx

The largest free cycling event in New York State is coming to our neighborhood on October 22nd. With multiple routes and distances available, you can tour through the beauty of our city before ending up at the Botanical Garden and an epic pizza party.

The Great PUPkin Festival

If you love an adorable puppy in an equally adorable costume then the Great PUPkin Festival is waiting for you. This dog costume contest is in its 19th year and boasts some amazing sponsors, activities and all the ‘awws’ you can handle.
